Tsuruga Terminal Co.,Ltd

Company History

Chemical tank terminals have thus far been established in areas around petrochemical complexes, such as areas along the Pacific coast and the shores of the Seto Inland Sea. However, as the economies of countries like South Korea, Russia, and China become more active, there is a growing need for distribution tank terminals along the coast of the Sea of Japan.
This company was established in September 1994 as a joint venture between Dainippon Ink & Chemicals (now DIC Corporation), Mitsubishi Corporation, and Japan Freight Railway Company.

Since then, major changes have taken place in our shareholder composition, and at present the company has made the transition to become a corporation in which Tatsumi Shokai Co., Ltd. has a 100% stake.
Tatsumi Shokai Co., Ltd. and its group businesses engage in business development, providing high quality storage, and warehousing (incoming and outgoing) services through its extensive network of large scale chemical tank terminals (for which the company boasts a 30% share of the domestic market) spread throughout all the major industrial centers in Japan.

To meet the demand for chemical logistics, we have a complete line-up of sea routes, roads, and we are striving to develop our business as a comprehensive distribution terminal whose location offers great advantages in terms of facilitating its use as a delivery center.
