History
Most of tank terminals in Japan had been located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean and of the Inland Sea, Setouchi, where primary petrochemical complexes are located. But due to the boom of economy in Korea, Russia, China, there had been strong needs for storage tanks in the coast of the Sea of Japan. Accordingly, DIC Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation and Japan Freight Railway Company (JFR) established a joint venture in 1994 for tank terminal business. Each party has each role: DIC has knowledge and knowhow for chemical materials which they procure and consume in their production. Mitsubishi deals lots of materials in their global logistic business. JFR provides infrastructure like land, wharf and railway networks. JFR also provides organized domestic transportation service.
We aim to be a total logistic center of this area by providing not only storage service but the integrated logistic service of shipping, road transportation, and railway.
